| Benefits of GRP
Highly Corrosion Resistant
GRPS products offer excellent corrosive resistance properties
even in the most aggressive chemical environments.

Maintenance Free
With a life span of 50 years with little or no maintenance costs,
GRPS products will significantly reduce or eliminate life cycle
costs.
Slip resistance
With 35% of all major injuries at work caused by slips or trips,
GRPS flooring products provide excellent anti-slip characteristics
even in wet or oily conditions.
Lightweight
GRP is a third of the weight of steel decreasing the risks
involved with manual handling and reducing installation costs by
removing the requirement for heavy lifting gear.
Ease of fabrication & low installation costs
All products can be easily fabricated using standard hand tools
such as circular saws, this combined with GRP's lightweight
significantly reduces installation costs
Impact Resistance
GRP's inherent elasticity ensures the product will not
permanently deform under impact.
Steel would be permanently damaged under similar conditions and
would need replacing.
Fire resistant
All products have been tested to the ASTM-E-84 tunnel test method
and have achieved a class 1 flame spread of 15 or less. All
resins are also self-extinguishing to ASTM-D-635.
Ergonomic
Due to an inherent elasticity the GRPS flooring range produces a
slight give under foot, which makes these products comfortable to
stand on for long periods of time.
Non conductive & Non magnetic
GRP is nonconductive and non-magnetic resulting in the use of
these products in installations where metal grating would prove
to be dangerous to worker safety.
Non sparking
Due to their non-sparking properties GRP is ideal for in
installations where the risk of sparking from a dropped tool
onto steel grating could cause a fire hazard.
Electronically transparent
GRP products do not affect electromagnetic or radio wave
frequencies. |
